LOVE NOTES......

this one was on the bath mirror "said he was looking forward to dinner with his wife"

this one surprised me near the coffee maker saying he loved me and thanking me for getting the coffee maker ready for him over the weekend

this beautiful card was near my computer with  my favorite V day candy
a chocolate marshmallow heart
18 Valentine Days later and he still surprises me with LOVE notes
It's not the big things that matter. It's ALL the little things that he takes the time to do that really say "I LOVE YOU"

A lil Pugs & Kisses to warm you....

ANOTHER day snowed in and more snow coming. I have been sick the last few days so the pugs and I have been doing lots of napping. They do NOT mind one single bit. They don't care for the snow much. They go out to potty and right back in. They want to be warm.
They like cuddling together and I noticed that they no longer all fit in one bed. So the one day that I did get out & about last week I treated them to a new much bigger bed. They LOVE it. They like being in whatever room I'm in so there is a kennel with a cozy bed in the kitchen, the crate that Chico & Ruby sleep in is in the livingroom, Pearl has a bed in our room that she sleeps in (in my hubby's dreams) and the new bed is my office space.

waaaay to little
They nap there when I'm working, scrapping or on the computer BUT their most favorite spot to nap is on the sofa with me and the electric throw. You should see the tails wag when they see Mama with a book in hand and the throw in the other. Let the snoring begin!!!!!

Blizzard projects

Stuck in a blizzard....

5 days since I have left my house.  I'm REALLY ok with that. I know some are going crazy and ready to get out but me I'm a homebody. I believe there is ALWAYS something to do around the house. Like all those chores that you do NOT want to do when it's sunny & beautiful out. You know what I'm talking about. That closet that if opened would bury you alive from all the junk inside, those light fixtures that would really sparkle if they were cleaned, top of the fridge, that junk drawer, etc. You get the point.
Or watch all those movies & shows that we record and complain about never getting to watch. Or better yet just catching up on sleep.
I'm a planner so when I heard we were getting a snow storm I made sure I had some projects to work on and I always have a"rainy day to do list". Yes, I was prepared! BUT I'm that girl you want to get stuck in the snow with because I would have food, blankets, water, flashlight, extra clothes and more than likely that lil folding shovel from my hubby's hunting gear" just in case".
I will confess tho that I have not gotten dressed in 5 days either. I have done my hair and put my lips on BUT I have been living in my jammies. Don't judge. Your probably reading this in yours.
The snow will eventually melt and we will all be wishing we had a day when we could just stay home and be lazy, catch up on all those movies or find the time to get those lil projects done.
if you make it up, your free

right out the front door

my front porch

near the creek
So as for me I'm going to enjoy every snow moment.

Master bath after

Here are pics of our new bathroom. We used to have yucky glass shower doors that I HATED.A brand new shower insert was installed. (much bigger)
The cubes on the wall are medicine cabinets, there once was a window where the butterfly pic is,
(not anymore) a brand new bigger one was put in on the opposite wall, the garden tub is gone and replaced with a smaller tub and the wall to wall mirrors are gone. It feels bigger and warmer thanks to the NEW shade of blue. Oh, and I did manage to get a lil bling in there with my hanging light. And, yes my makeup and stuff that a girl needs is out in the open but this is where I get ready and I need things out where I can see them. I like it that way.

Master bath makeover

18 years later and we finally remodeled our master bath. Four weeks, 2 minor hose leaks, several trips to Lowes for plumbing parts and a complete repaint. I hated the color I first picked out and decided the color just wasn't growing on me. 24 hours before shelves, lights and the floor were to be put in. What can I say??? It's just paint. Right? My brother Frank did all the hard work and I could not be happier with the results. Love it.
